How to determine your ring size?
To guarantee a perfect fit, we suggest having your finger measured by a local jeweller. You can measure using a piece of string or paper around the finger but this does not accurately predict how the ring will move over the knuckle or take into account the different ring widths. Should you have an existing ring on the very finger that you are buying your new ring for, you can measure the inside of the ring. Should your order not fit correctly you can contact us to discuss the situation or else it may be more convenient to have your local jeweller re-size your ring for a small fee.
|
What if the size is wrong?
If you order the wrong size please contact us to discuss the situation. Small adjustments may require a simple resizing which can be undertaken by your local jeweller for a small fee. More complicated changes may require the item to be returned to Diamond Coco.

What is a Clarity Enhanced Diamond?
Clarity Enhanced Diamonds are Natural Diamonds which have undergone a range or treatments (such as laser) to remove or improve the internal flaws to produce a cleaner, more desirable stone. Most diamonds have some degree of internal structural inclusions that are created during its crystallization process over millions of years. The principal of Clarity Enhancement is to mask these natural diamond inclusions. This process uses state-of-the-art technology that optically eliminates certain inclusions by inserting a glass like material into the inclusion of the diamond, and by doing so, improves it's brilliance and clarity. This material has a similar refractive index and optical properties of the diamond. The amount of the material is so minute that it adds virtually no weight to the diamond, and in most cases, inclusions appear invisible to the naked eye.

Detecting a Clarity Enhanced Diamond
The clarity enhancement process has its own signature on treated diamonds. This known as the "Flash Effect". It is the built-in signature of any CE diamond and the easiest way to detect CE. To find it, hold the diamond with a pair of tweezers by its girdle, under a 10x loupe with dark field or direct lighting, or under a high-power gem microscope. Tilt the diamond carefully back and forth and look perpendicular to the surface. Certain distinct subtle colours are seen. One should look for a flash with a purple, blue, violet-pink or yellow-orange colors.

Treatment and Care of Clarity Enhanced Diamonds
The Clarity Enhancement process is stable and permanent under normal wear and tear and his highly durable. Exposure to sunlight, ultrasonic cleaning, steam cleaning, boiling water and non-ammonia based detergent will not normally affect the process. Avoid direct heat of a torch, acid cleaning or re-cutting the diamond. These can damage the treatment. It is prudent to always inform your jeweller that the diamond has been clarity enhanced when having any work done to your jewellery.
